hi ixorainssss!!!!
this week had been a fruitful week for all of us, with all those patrol activities and service learning. so lets backtrack a little to what we have gone through for this entire week.
monday
We had patrol activity for the year 1s and 2s where they had to build a fire alter and a shoe rack. I would say that there are still alot of rooms for improvement in terms of skills and sense of urgency for everyone. The gadgets were not very well done as knots were not tight enough and there were some mistakes made, such as the positions of the gadget poles. Sec 2s should stand up and lead the juniors, giving clear instructions so that everyone will know what to do. Sec 1s must listen to their seniors, take INITIATIVE and ACT IMMEDIATELY. Time extension must never be taken for granted.
Wednesday
Sec 3s were involved in mini OJ which gave them a taste of PLTC life. To start off, the sec 3s had changing parade where they changed from school uniform to guides uniform to OJ kit. As a sec 3 guides, you guys should not be taking such a long time to change into another attire. And when more time is needed, ask for time extension BEFORE the time is up. In general, you guys have to train up on your skills, physical and leadership in order to be ready for PLTC.
Friday
Had a very short patrol activity where you guys tied a shoe rack and kitchen dresser. As compared to monday, your gadgets this time round were much better and knots were tighter. But sense of urgency was still not there!!!! One square lash to only take you 3 minutes, not 15 minutes (terrible) !!!! When you really have nothing to do, you should take the initiative to tuck in all sheng weis, instead of stoning and staring into blank space. Ask for time extension BEFORE the time is up.
Saturday
service learning!!! Good job everyone!!! *clap clap*

1)attire should always be standard, even during activities such as service learning
(socks 3 fingers above rim of canvas shoe, black hair accesories only)
2)golden rule: ABCD
3)sec 1s MUST take more initiative and help your seniors
4) tidy your guides uniform before stepping out of the toilet
5) no changing in tuan bu
